I have always feared playwriting in the secondary classroom. I guess I thought my students wouldn't get it, or wouldn't enjoy it.
Today I had the pleasure of working with Peggy McKowen, Associate Producing Director of the Contemporary American Theater Festival hosted at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV. She did a playwriting activity with us that could easily be applied to the classroom -- plus it was a lot of fun.
