Teaching Today
A blog following teacher Aaron Jura as he plans engaging, yet relevant English Language Arts content for High School students in New Orleans, LA.
We are wrapping up our reading and analysis of Arthur Miller's The Crucible in American Lit this coming week. It has been a great book to explore as we kicked off the semester. Also, the differentiated homework projects have been a hit. Considering we spent a lot of focus on theme, character, and motifs during this work the most popular project has been the Instagram Projects. This is where students interact and create a character from the play and then post in a true to character way with some modern charm (emoji's, etc.) Anyway, I am looking forward to that and reading superstitions essays over Mardi Gras break next week. :-)
